Commodore To Enter Mobile Gaming

With plenty of kids hangin’ around the malls, each armed with cell phones, this might not be a bad idea. I personally spend a lot of time at our mall’s play area with my two kids and this would be a great way to pass along the time waiting on my wife to finish blowing my retirement!
Commodore Gaming plans to introduce public kiosks that will allow users to load games onto their mobile phones.
These will be introduced into mobile phone and game retailers across Europe later this year.
The kiosks will allow consumers to download games to their mobile phones via Bluetooth, memory cards, or USB.
One of the backers of this announcement is Telcogames, a global publisher and distributor of mobile games. It brings 102 publishers and mobile game studios and a portfolio of over 1000 mobile games.
"Mobile phones have inherent difficulties in the way content can be searched and discovered by users, and we believe that offering this content in retail stores will help educate and encourage consumers to try mobile games as well as other types of content," said Bala Keilman, CEO of Commodore Gaming.
