Comparison Photos : Cingular 8125 vs Kjam

The 1st thing that you notice about the Cingular 8125 is the shape. Cingular has made the HTC Wizard a little different. The O2 version, the Tmobile XDA, and the i-mate Kjam all keep the rounded look, while Cingular has had it made a little more boxy.
The stylus is the same, but has a different head. It is still at the bottom of the unit, which took me some time to get used to.

The other thing is the Keyboard, the keys on the 8125 are square and backlit with a white light and the Kjam has round keys with a blue backlight. I prefer these square keys better.
For those that number crunch, here are the versions found on the 8125
IPL 1.08
SPL 1.08
GSM 01.09.11
OS 1.8.11.1

  4. I think this phone will be great. The only problem will be the Mini SD slot, they don’t come in the same capacities as the regular SD cards. I am looking forward to getting this!

  5. The phones appeared to be switched in the keyboard backlightinig photo.

  6. Yes, in comparison to the pic above it, it has switched sides.

  7. Hey i was thinkin about gettin the 8125 and just swicth me sim card form my razr to it do they take the same sim cards?

  8. My Axim X30 just die, time to upgrade and found this model. On top of that, I’m already stucked with Cingular. :)

  9. Yes, just pop simm in new phone and whamo!

The 8125 is a hell of an upgrade to the x30!

  10. I have the kjam and one point the reviews are ignoring (I think) — 8125 lacks wifi, or at least I don’t see it listed in specs. If this is true it can be explained by Cingular preferring users to be limited to their GPRS (EDGE someday) for all internet access. I use wifi whenever I’m in a hotspot because it’s much faster.

  11. The 8125 has WiFi

  12. I ordered mine today; I hope it’s better than my h6315. I really got suckered into that piece of junk. $500 dollars later and all I have is a really neat bubble game and MP3 player.

  13. I think you will like it!

  14. I think you will like it! I like the 6515 too, but they each have their strongpoints.

  15. I just ordered this model a couple days ago… I was wondering if you could use regular headphones on this model or do you have to buy a 2.5mm headphone jack??

  16. How well does Skype run on it?

Got a Blue Angel right now (Siemens branded Cingular phone) and am considering the upgrade…

And the whole reason I moved from Palm was for Skype capability

  17. Hello. I currently do not have an unlimited data package thru my Cingular Account. I was told this phone has automatic updates with Microsoft that will cause my phone bill to skyrocket due to the data transmission costs. Is this a true statement? And if so, can the automatic update function be shut-off? Please let me know. Thanks.

  18. has anyone tried to use Goodlink with the KJAM? on Cingular? does it work?

  19. T-Mobile’s Turn, MDA (HTC Wizard) is officially released.

OK, now everyone has their own HTC Wizard Branded model. Cingular has the 8125, O2 has the Xda mini S, I-mates unlocked GSM KJam, and I am sure I missed a couple. Now, bringing up the rear, T-mobile’s MDA.Can…
