More leaked images of the Rumored HP iPaq rw6828

opener.jpg I guess with as much that has been leaked out of HP on this and previous model we can stop calling it all Rumored, right?

Late in 2004, HP started a new program for iPAQ website evangelists. This program was very restrictive and was shunned by this website(iPaqHQ at that time). The focus of the program seemed to get the websites to do reviews and say nice things about the HP iPAQ at all times, but was overly restrictive. They wanted sites like this to remove any post in the forums by our members that related to unannounced product. Since this, there have been several leaks created by their own people. If you search for leaked here, you will find a couple recent leaks, and they are worried about us leaking? Ok, I am done ranting.

On to the newest leaked pictures. MsMobiles.com has a spread of recent photos of the HP rw6828.

"And while we got the chance to shoot some pictures of the iPAQ rw6828 (sorry for the quality of the pictures, they where shot with a windows mobile device) we find it not only very much look-alike, no, we would even say it is the same device minus the O2 Plus Media Keys. Oh, yes, the colour is different. But hey, we have seen twins that didn’t look so much like each other and are called twins anyway. So, you can check out the pictures and get your own opinion if the HP iPAQ rw6828 is a clone of the XDA Atom or not!"

Even though this unit pictured appears to be a working model, there is nothing really said in the article about specs and performance, but if the device is the "same" as the Atom, it will have the following:

  • Windows Mobile 5
  • 416MHx Intel PXA 272 processor
  • GSM/GPRS/EDGE
  • 802.11b WiFi
  • Bluetooth 1.2
  • 128MB ROM, 64MB RAM
  • 2.7" 240×320 pixel display
  • 2 megapixel CMOS integrated camera
  • MiniSD memory card slot
  • Removable rechargeable Li-Ion battery, 1,500mAh
  • Standby - 150 hours, talk 5.5
