Motorola V220 - Free is bad

v220.jpg Most of the time we are reporting and reviewing "new" and "cool" phones. This entry is much different, I want to report on the worst phone you could ever get free.

Free is Bad!
Like I said, I don’t think many of you are the "get a free phone" kinda people. If you are, stay away from the Motorola V220. This phone absolutely sucks. It was time to get free phones for 3 out of 4 of the phones on my account and since they were for my family members that are not cutting edge tech types, I figured the v220 for free was good. I got one for each of them. With a little more than a year left on the contract, I have just purchased a new phone for my wife and getting ready to replace the other two.

These phones are cute and semi-functional, but the reception is horrible. I am not going to go into lame details on how bad this phone is, but if you want to read more complaints, click here.

On a side note, my wife is thrilled with her new phone, LG C1500. Keep in mind that a cell phone to my wife is a phone that she can use at the Mall without having reception problems.
