Boston Engadget Reader Meetup - Success and fun

engadgetlogo.jpgSince the Engadget Guys were in Boston for Mobius, Peter Rojas setup a nice event for Engadget readers. Since I am a reader, why not… lets go!

They were giving out Engadget Tshirts to the 1st (insert number) folks through the door. I met up with James Kendrick, Jack Cook, Steven Hughes, Arne Hess, and Don Sorceneli for dinner at Boston Beer Works and we ate and drank. (and we were merry!)

After our dinner, we walked 2 blocks down the road to Jillian’s for the Engadget gig. We were welcomed to a LONG line. I was about the 256th person through the door. I think there ended up being 500-600 out for the evening.

Engadget had some vendors out to show off some great products. (PS. Jack will tell you more about one of them soon and I will be letting you see some great Slingbox items too!) In addition to the Tshirts, They gave out free beer tickets too!

The guys showed us the 9 finalist in their "Commercial Contest. After a Q&A with Peter Rojas, Ryan Block, and Paul Miller from Engadget, the guys threw all sorts of raffled freebies out to the readers. Don Sorcenilli won a Sling Box Pro too!
