Milton Keynes… The Home of Wimax

Milton Keynes, home of the concrete cow and er…well… the concrete cow. Is about to get another claim to fame.. It’s going to be the first city in the UK to have a fully fledged wimax network.
The Pilot which started earlier this year with PiPex, is going well and is now adding end users to the scheme, which should give wireless 10mb connections to anyone within range. With that sort of connectivity lurking about it will be interesting to see what happens to the existing telcos.. especially when citywide VOIP threatens the Cellphone companies and the phone networks
