Newton Peripherals Chooses ModusLink

This is one of those announcements that makes me smile when I see it.  It’s been a long road for Newton Peripherals but it has been a straight road with slow steady progress with the end of the tunnel in sight.  Along with the HUGE HP announcement where they have licensed the MoGo technology, this announcement shows that all the hard work has paid off.

If you have not seen my review of the MoGo Mouse, you can check out the MoGo review here.

Newton Peripherals makers of the MoGo Mouse have chosen ModusLink as a global partner for end-to-end supply chain services

Leverages Worldwide Supply Chain Network and Consumer Market Expertise to Meet Growing Demand for Award-Winning Product

ModusLink Corporation announced that Newton Peripherals LLC, the company behind the ground-breaking MoGo Mouse, has selected ModusLink as its global supply chain services provider. ModusLink will deliver a wide range of supply chain management services, including both forward and reverse logistics, to support growing worldwide demand for the company’s acclaimed new product, the MoGo MouseBT, a popular business-card sized, Bluetooth-enabled mouse that is creating a major buzz with consumers.

"Given our rapid growth worldwide, it was important for us to choose a partner with global reach and strong capabilities in the consumer market," said Matthew Westover, Newton Peripherals’ CEO and President. "Our innovative technology has sparked considerable interest in the U.S. and abroad and ModusLink has the global footprint and scalable operating infrastructure needed to accommodate this growing demand. ModusLink’s efficient supply chain processes and solutions can grow with us, while ensuring that we maintain the high level of service our customers have come to expect. By partnering with ModusLink, we can respond more quickly to global market dynamics and sustain our competitive edge in the market."

As part of the contract, ModusLink will provide the following services: Call Center Support, including after sales service and technical support; Returns Management Authorization issuance; Reverse Logistics; Testing and Repair. Additionally, given the complexities of supply chain management in the European market, ModusLink will also provide additional services in this market, including Sourcing; Kitting and Assembly; Retail Distribution, VAT Management; and Customer Support in more than five different languages. These services are part of an integrated end-to-end solution, which includes proven technology, tools and processes, designed to drive the highest levels of supply chain efficiency and provide the end-customer with the best possible buying experience.
