Documents to go on WM5 Smartphones… oh and there is a free preview,

If there’s a bit of software I miss from my Palm days, it’s probably Documents to go. Pocket office is ok, but misses out most of the formmating.  Text/Planmaker are great, but a bit cumbersome at times.  I never thought it would come, but now it’s nearly here.

Here’s the blurb from the Datavis website

Documents To Go is the first and only mobile office editor for Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphone Edition on the market today. Now you can view, edit and create Microsoft® Word, Excel and PowerPoint® files, view Adobe® PDF files as well as unzip files on your smartphone no matter where your personal or professional life takes you.

Now at the moment it’s for wm5 smartphone devices.. so it’s no use to me… But it shouldn’t be too hard for them to embrace the ppc devices if they put their minds to it. There’s no support for the trial, it’s only been tested on Motorola Q, Samsung BlackJack, Samsung i320 and T-Mobile Dash and  make sure you have a backup first.
