iTV Free online TV service starts march 2007 (No Apples involved)

Broadband TV is the next battlefront on the online wars in the UK. The BBC has big plans for this, and Channel4 has launched its 4OD service at the start of the year. Sky has plans to use its tv together with its broadband service to boost each other. And Now iTV is joining in.
For the non Brits amongst you, iTV is Britain’s largest terrestrial broadcaster, and HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH APPLE AT ALL. In fact I almost fell off my chair when Apple picked it as the name of its next big thing.. and that was before the iPhone fiasco.
Well anyway, the free to view online service will open at the end of march, and what you can expect it
- live online streaming of iTV
- 30 day catchup of what has been on
- 1,000 hours of ‘classic’ content
- banner adds, and adverts being used to pay for it
