Free Upgrades
If you bought NewsBreak 1.2 from us after December 6, 2006, the upgrade to version 2.0 is free, on the same platform(s) for which you bought NewsBreak 1.2:
We will be sending an email to each user eligible for a free upgrade, complete with new registration codes for NewsBreak 2.0. We plan to have them all out by mid March. When we’ve sent out the emails to all registered users of NewsBreak 1.2 who are eligible for the free upgrade, we’ll update this page. If you haven’t gotten your email after that, please let us know.
As a little extra for you to look at, PatrickJ over at Just Another Mobile Monday has just completed a terrific review of NewsBreak. He did a terrific job showing you all the intricacies of this RSS Newsreader. You don’t want to miss this review!
In part, Patrick said:
I’m an RSS addict, or something close to that. Maybe an RSS Fiend at the very least. I don’t know if there are any support groups for RSS addicts or fiends - maybe there are, but with no meetings just an RSS feed (Eek).
Just on my Cingular 8525, I run NewsBreak, Spb Insight, and NewsGator Go, and as of recently, Netvibes Mobile. On the desktop, I use Netvibes with a ton of feeds as my home page, and also frequently look at Bloglines, Google Reader, and NewsGator.
I honestly think RSS, while being simple, is probably one of the top technical advances of the last 10 years (or however long it’s been around). It is our most effective weapon in the fight against Information Overload.
So, I have long considered NewsBreak a real Best Friend application.
