Dell Embraces the Penguin in France, Germany and UK
While Dell US customers have been able to skip Windows altogether and go straight for a Linux powered Dell since May, that’s not something that the rest of the world has been able to do… until now.
Customers buying an Inspiron 6400 notebook or an Inspiron 530N desktop can have Ubuntu 7.04 pre-installed, and save themselves the cost of the Microsoft tax.
The response seems to be fairly positive, apart from people in Sweden, Denmark, Turkey, Spain, Portugal, Italy and the rest of the European Union, who are feeling a bit left out and unloved
