Leopard Outsells Windows in Japan
Posted by Steve Laser on 11/17/07 in Apple, Windows Vista
A new report shows that Apple’s new Mac OS X version, Leopard, has outsold Windows during October. Between September and October, sales of OS X jumped from under 16% to just over 60%. Windows sales dropped from 75% to less than 30%.
It is expected that the sales of OS X will drop back to normal levels. But, one reason that OS X Leopard may be enjoying such success over Vista is that Vista sells for a whopping $276 in Japan, while OS X goes for $134.
I’m a Windows user, but I saw some Mac models at Best Buy yesterday and they really are beautiful. Ouch. it hurts to say that.
