Boingo Software Makes Wi-Fi Access Simple and Fast

Software Enables One-Click Access to 100,000+ Hotspots Worldwide; Knows More Than 500 SSID’s and 150 Wi-Fi Operators Worldwide

image For travelers who use high-speed Internet access on the road, Boingo Wireless removes the arduous ritual of searching for coverage, memorizing multiple usernames and passwords, and paying different providers at each stop during a trip.

By providing a full complement of smart clients that take the complexity out of business travel, Boingo puts some joy back into being a road warrior.

Boingo Wireless offers access to the world’s largest network of Wi-Fi hotspots - over 100,000 - by partnering with some of the most recognizable Wi-Fi network operators in the world, including AT&T, AWG, Wayport, iBahn, BT Openzone, Korea Telecom, Telmex and T-Mobile.

With over 150 different Wi-Fi operators and nearly 500 different SSID’s worldwide, Boingo makes the process of getting connected simple, through a number of free software downloads.

GoBoingo! - This lightweight applet is an authentication utility for Windows XP and Vista. GoBoingo! automatically identifies whether a hotspot belongs to a Boingo roaming partner and helps users log in with their Boingo account with a single click. About 1 MB, it installs quickly and stays out of the way until you need your Boingo account. A full-featured Windows client is also available that includes a complete network manager, as well as a fully functional 802.1x supplicant.

Boingo Mobile - Currently available for Nokia S60 handsets, Nokia Internet Tablets and Windows Mobile 5.0 devices, Boingo Mobile identifies Boingo hotspots and automatically logs users in. Instead of futzing around with oversized web pages in undersized browser windows, you get online immediately with Boingo Mobile.

Boingo members can download for free at http://www.boingo.com/download.html.

Boingo offers a number of plans to keep business travelers connected and productive on the road.

  • For business travelers who travel primarily in North America, Boingo Unlimited offers unlimited Wi-Fi access at Boingo hotspots throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Roaming at Boingo hotspots outside North America is billed to the user in per-minute increments, usually $.12 or $.18 a minute.
  • For those who travel more frequently abroad, Boingo Global is a $39 flat-rate plan that gives users access to 100,000+ Boingo hotspots with no roaming fees or premium usage charges. Boingo Global helps world-travelers bypass the exorbitant Wi-Fi fees that are typical outside the US.
  • For people with Wi-Fi enabled Nokia or Windows Mobile 5.0 devices, Boingo Mobile is a $7.95 flat-rate plan offering unlimited worldwide usage. Users can enjoy a robust multimedia experience on their Wi-Fi enabled devices through Boingo’s high speed broadband connection.
