What are you getting for Christmas?

This is the biggest time of the year for many to get the gadgets and toys they want. For the teens, it’s the time when Santa opens up his wallet to get them that new Zune, iPod, or killer Pocket PC Phone they always wanted. For the grown ups, it’s the time when their spouse finally gives in to buy them that new 60 inch HD LCD. Even single folks will get themselves a little something to call it a gift to themselves. It’s that time again.
By now, I am sure most of you already have all your gifts purchased, wrapped, and ready to go. Yeah Right! hehe… Not me, I know what I am getting my wife (HD for the Bedroom), but I haven’t actually purchased it yet. (nowhere to hide it) My kids are all set. Santa has all sorts of gadgets and such ready to deliver real late night…
So, what are you getting for Christmas? For me, this is a weird time. I get calls and emails from friends and family asking me what I want. My typical answer is, “nothing that you’d be willing to buy me.” followed by a chuckle… You see, I don’t have any friends or family willing to buy me big cars or houses, etc… I don’t need anything else really. I buy what I want throughout the year. The only thing I am itching for right now is an HTC Shift, but it’s looking like a no go on it being available before Christmas. So, I have been telling everyone to get me socks and underwear.

I have been eyeing up the Tivo HD …because I recently switched from Tivo Series 2 to the Comcast DVR (because of the HD recording ability) and I HATE it. I really want my TIVO back…but I don’t want to lose the HD recording ability… I cashed in airline miles for a $250 BestBuy gift card and I was set to purchase Tivo HD…but my wife got to the mail first and “poof” the gift card is gone.. (I have more miles to get another $250 gift card…but this time I’m having it sent to the office)
I wanted to buy New year and Christmas gift for myself that can provide me with a new motivation at my workplace. Have bought myself a new compaq laptop. Have been saving for it from quite a long time now. And am so happy for it..
