MediaFLO USA Brings 300+ Live College Basketball Games to Mobile Phones with FLO TV

FLO TV Offers Sports Enthusiasts Courtside Views of More Than 15 College Basketball Games a Week

MediaFLO USA announced that it will feature more than 300 live college basketball games this season-including the Men’s College Basketball Tournament games-through its FLO TV service, giving sports enthusiasts the flexibility to catch all of the action anytime, anywhere from the convenience of their mobile phones.

Together with its content partners CBS Mobile, ESPN Mobile TV and FOX Mobile, MediaFLO will continue to provide live coverage of many of the top ranked men’s college basketball match-ups for the rest of the 2008 season, including championship games across all major conferences. Additionally, MediaFLO USA will deliver live coverage of more than 25 women’s college basketball games, including the Conference and Division 1 and 2 Championship games.

The regular season hoops excitement began on November 11 with match-ups featuring Monmouth vs. Seton Hall, and University of Missouri - Kansas City vs. Kansas. Other not-to-be-missed men’s college basketball games scheduled to air on FLO TV include:

  • Kentucky vs. Tennessee (3/2/08) - CBS Mobile
  • Louisville vs. Georgetown (3/8/08) - CBS Mobile

  • Oklahoma vs. Texas (3/9/08) - ESPN Mobile TV
  • Big East Title Game (3/15/08) - ESPN Mobile TV
  • ACC Title Game (3/16/08) - ESPN Mobile TV
  • Big 12 Title Game (3/16/08) - ESPN Mobile TV

In addition to the men’s college basketball season, FLO TV will offer sports enthusiasts an unrivalled array of sports programming throughout 2008. FLO TV “firsts” include the 2007 broadcasts of Wimbledon, NASCAR, Women’s and Senior’s U.S. Open, major league soccer-including the Under-20 FIFA World Cup-action sports such as the X Games, AST Dew Tour and Right Guard Open, arena football, and college sports such as beach volleyball, softball, weightlifting, wakeboarding, snowboarding and lacrosse.

Since launching FLO TV service in March 2007, it has delivered close to 2,000 hours of live sporting event coverage ranging from the U.S. Open, college football, and men’s professional basketball games to English Premier League soccer, MLS soccer, X Games, NASCAR Racing, and tennis from Wimbledon.
