All Rumors Point to 3G iPhone within 2 Months…

The rumor mill is definately churning on the 3G iPhone front this week… Let’s take a look.
1st Ralph de la Vega from AT&T talked about 3G services being available within months…
Deployment of 3G and 4G services was a hot topic both during CEO Ralph de la Vega’s presentation and in the post-conference Q&A (one member of the press lamented the fact that AT&T’s BlackBerrys still lack HSDPA), and at one point he mentioned that all of the carrier’s smartphones would be 3G within a matter of mere “months.” - Engadget Mobile
Then, Boy Genius Report posted an image of what folks are speculating as the 3G iPhone. While, I have my doubts, it could very well be true…
There’s this image floating around that claims to be the back of the new 3G iPhone. Sportin’ a glossy black finish, it seems as if the entire back panel is now plastic instead of metal. This would bode well for the influx of antennas Apple is rumored to have added. 850MHz/1900MHz/2100MHz WCDMA, 802.11n, Bluetooth, etc.
Then today, Engadget Mobile is reporting that Uncle Walt Mossberg has gone on record as saying that the 3G iPhone will be here in within 60 days. I believe Walt since he probaly got that from Jobs himself in their daily marketing call. (ok, that was just a poke at Walt, sorry)
While talking up web as a video delivery medium at a Beet.TV executive summit, Walt Mossberg casually yet confidently mentioned that the iPhone will be going 3G in 60 days.
This is all good news for those that can’t hack the EDGE speeds. What good is the “REAL INTERNET” if it’s at EDGE speed anyhow?

Re: Mossberg’s comments. Walt is certainly in a position to have inside knowledge. However he’s probably just stating a logical guess as fact.
With the new iPhone software coming in June along with the iPhone app store and Apple WWDC it’s only logical that Apple will launch the 3G iPhone then.
The iPhone comment was hardly the most presumptuous comment he made in that clip.
