Resco ImageButton for .NET CF Beta

ibutton If you are a developer, here is an adjustable, modifiable and skinnable button for .NET Compact Framework.

Resco, a supplier of advanced developer tools and components for mobile devices, today announced the availability of Resco ImageButton for .NET CF Beta. A smart button control capable of not only visualizing the focus, but also displaying an arbitrary image as its surface. The image can change every time the button is clicked which provides for interesting visual effects.

“A nice looking and intuitive UI is the key for a successful mobile application,” said Gabriel Minarik, Resco’s component developer. “The Resco ImageButton for .NET CF allows developers to design custom shaped buttons with images and other visual effects, making applications more attractive.”

Resco ImageButton for .NET CF also offers the following functionality:

  • Allows you to set an image or a color to display
  • Allows you to set an image or a color to display when clicked
  • You can set a color to use for the button background when it has focus
  • You can set a higher resolution image for VGA devices

The ImageButton for .NET CF control can automatically detect whether it is running on a standard resolution device or a VGA device. If you set a different image for VGA devices and standard resolution devices the ImageButton automatically displays the correct one.

Pricing and Availability

Resco ImageButton for .NET CF Beta is now available for download at: http://www.resco.net/developer/mobileformstoolkit/imagebutton.aspx.
It is available free of charge and is intended for testing purposes.

Full version of Resco ImageButton for .NET CF is scheduled for release in June 2008. It will be included in the Resco MobileForms Toolkit Volume 2 license and all customers with valid subscription will be able to download it free of charge.
