Are You a Mobile Device Developer?

rnnd Resco releases Resco MobileForms Toolkit 2008 Volume 2, a suite of powerful Visual Studio controls and libraries designed specifically for mobile devices.

Resco announced availability of Resco MobileForms Toolkit 2008 Volume 2, a rich suite of Visual Studio controls and libraries designed specifically for mobile devices.

Resco MobileForms Toolkit 2008 Volume 2 contains these brand new controls:

  • Resco ImageBox for .NET CF – control for displaying and manipulating images (supports png, tiff, jpg)
  • Resco ImageButton for .NET CF - modifiable, adjustable and skinable button
  • Resco Audio for .NET CF - library for playing and recording audio (supports wav, ogg, raf, spx)

Developers can display images using Resco ImageBox for .NET CF and manipulate them by resizing, zooming, rotating, adjusting brightness, gamma correction, contrast and more.

ImageButton for .NET CF not only allows visualizing the focus of the button, but also gives it a professional look such as that of Windows Vista.

Resco Audio for .NET CF allows developers to play or record audio files and it is even able to convert from one audio format to another.

“Built-in multimedia hardware like microphone, speakers and camera bring new potential to mobile devices”, said Vladimr Gregor, Sales and Marketing Manager of Resco Enterprise Solutions. “Thanks to Resco MobileForms Toolkit 2008 Volume 2, the developers can now easily display and manipulate images and play or record sounds with just a few lines of code.”

One of the most powerful new features of Resco MobileForms Toolkit 2008 Volume 2 is the Touch Scroll support. The users no longer need to use the stylus to scroll the contents of the control, but they can use their thumb instead. Moreover, the only thing the developers need to do to take advantage of Touch Scroll, is turn on one property in Microsoft Visual Studio designer.

“Windows Mobile-based devices are becoming a commonplace in the current world,” said Jim Roxe, Group Product Manager for Visual Studio at Microsoft Corp. “With new controls from Resco, the development of mobile applications is becoming easier, which improves their usage in various consumer and business activities.”

The Standard Edition is priced at $499.95, the Professional Edition at $999.95, and the Enterprise Edition at $1,999.95. Resco offers this product with 1 year of free support and upgrades.
