HTC Rose. What is it?

We are all so interested in finding out what is coming next that we’ll latch onto any clue pointing us to something new. When I say “we”, I include myself in that mix.

Here is one of those examples. The above screenshot comes from the Bluetooth Sig website and doesn’t say a whole lot about the device, but it does leave the blogosphere captivated wondering what it could be. Here is Engadget’s take

The worst case is where we get a model name or codename, geographic availability, and manufacturer name, and that’s it. Such is the case with the HTC Rose, a phone we’ve never heard of before, and for all we know, may never hear about again. Our wild imaginations can easily concoct amazing Android-powered superphones with WVGA displays, 8-megapixel autofocus cameras, and 32GB of ROM until the cows come home, but this could just as easily be an EDGE-only Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard sleeper with all the design inspiration of an ‘82 Ford Escort

What do you think? Android phone or Windows Mobile?

  1. I guess the HTC ROSE is going to be something big(Android), as it the only HTC phone listed for worldwide availability: Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, South America. Every other HTC phone listed on Bluetooth Sig website only has limited availability like Asia, Europe or North America…

  2. I have the HTC Rose…

It isn’t Android, it’s Windows Mobile
