I am hoping Amazon drops the kindle about $50 more. It is still more expensive than I am willing to spend, but it does have a lot of features I like and their last price drop helped.
I think that eBook readers (particularly non-color readers) need to be in the $50-$75 range to be wildly successful beyond the geeks who love tech stuff. If I drop one and have to buy another for that price, I can go for it, but there is nothing so great about these over paper printed books that they’d be worth hundreds of dollars more than the nothing extra it costs to read a real book, particularly for something so fragile.
