Dell Smartphone Talk…. AGAIN?

alienwarephone Good grief… More of the same. Wake me up when one of these rumors actually materialize. Seriously. The Dell Smartphone… The myth, the legend. What is this, rumor number 33 on the subject? In case you didn’t know this, Mobilitysite has evolved from Aximsite.com. I have seen my share of anonymous tips and speculations that have all gone dry. About 2 years ago, I got a tip form someone that had been on the money in the past and it never materialized. Don’t get me wrong, I would really love to see this happen and hope this rumor is more than just that.

I have always wondered why Dell just stood there and let HP churn out 5+ Windows Mobile phones without a counter. If you look back on here, you will find the following “Dell Smartphone Rumors”, including another one posted today by Steve Laser.

These rumors have churned for years. Even when the X5 was released, there was mention of 2 other models. The X51 and X71. The X51 came out and the X71 was rumored to be a phone. Oh well. I hope this speculation turns out with something from Dell, but I won’t hold my breath.

  • It seems there is interest in a phone from Dell and has been for a while. I wish they would. I love my Axim. If Dell put the same thought in designing a phone as they did with the Axim, it would be a winner.
