The folks at pocketnow.com have photos and a video of the HTC Incredible. According to their source, it’s for Verizon Wireless right now, it runs Android 2.1 with HTC Sense, it’s packed with the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor (so it’s really really fast), 256MB RAM, 3.5-3.7 WVGA touchscreen. Their source says it’s very vibrant,...

I noticed an article on Pocketnow.com which mentions the bump in Memory on the upcoming T-Mobile version of the HTC HD2. The upgrade to 1 gig of Rom meets the Chassis one specs. for WM 7 which makes it a possibility that this will be the only version getting the updated OS. So I hopped over to HTC and they have the product page up where you can look...

It’s not not to get a little excited about an Android handset like the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 with the 1 Ghz Snapdragon processor. Last week, the handset passed through the FCC with only the T-Mobile 3G bands 1700/2100/900. Today, another version of the Xperia X10 handset has passed FCC inspections fully equipped with the 850/1900MHz bands...

Well look what the cat dragged in. After being delayed for shipping issues the eXpo has finally shown up on online at at&t’s website for $199 on contract with the obligatory data plan. It’s got all my requirements, WM6.5 a full slide-out keyboard, Snapdragon processor and that biometric sensor/d-pad is intriguing.
Read on for the specs.

This rush of info about the Google phone that has been rumored for more than a year were fueled by a tweet. MobileCrunch reported that the following tweet was made and was followed up with a couple other tweets from Google employees that claimed that they received a “Google Phone”.
Rich posted a blurb about an email alert he got from the Wall...

I’m still a little incredulous about an Android handset finally arriving subsidized on AT&T. As we’ve seen before, just because handsets go through the FCC doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re guaranteed to show up on a specific carrier. Although, this past week’s news that an Acer Liquid with the AT&T 3G bands of 850/1900 MHz has...
Reviewing this phone has been a pleasure. I passed on reviewing the HTC Hero on Sprint because of the absence of a physical keyboard. That and the fact that Marilyn was looking forward to reviewing it too. The Hero was a great phone, but I had my eyes set on this Sprint Android powered phone. The nice looking keyboard lured me in, I admit it.
The...

During the gaping silence from AT&T regarding all things Android, there has been a small admittance to the end of the iPhone exclusivity to AT&T, yet Android seems to be overtaking market. Sprint has launched the HTC Hero, T-Mobile currently has the myTouch 3G, and Verizon debuted the Motorola Droid and Eris, so I’m wondering if with Sony...

It has been six long months of leaks, rumors, debate, doubt and trademark battles since Qualcomm first said they were going to create a brave new mobile device category, the Snapdragon powered, internet surfing Smartbook. Since then we have heard a lot of talk about the new devices, but not many examples.
Forbes is reporting that that is due to change...

John Herrman at Gizmodo has released an overview of the HTC HD2. Needless to say he loved the hardware, but deeply hated the Windows Mobile software, even obscured as it is by HTC’s Sense GUI.
Despite the fact that to a great degree the review is used to once again make WinMo into Gizmodo’s personal software piñata (truly, the Gizmodo editors...

Here’s another video from Sony Ericsson of the Xperia X10’s interface, which could possibly rival the HTC Hero’s Sense UI if it isn’t overcome by its own flashiness. The columns of scrolling contacts, cover art, and and applications are interesting but busy. Thank goodness the X10 is powered by the Snapdragon 1GHz processor to handle all the...

We all expected there to be a rush of Android phones over the next few months, but I don’t think anyone was prepared for the merry go round of highly impressive devices that are being announced one after the other. It seems like every week there is a new “flagship” Android phone revealed.
Today’s Android world-beater is the Xperia X10...

Sony Ericsson has leaked a new video of a prototype Android UI they call “Rachael” which has “This is just a concept for internal use only, sit the hell down” warnings all over it. Once you accept that fact that you can’t buy a phone with this UI today, tomorrow, or possibly ever (or possibly in 4 days with the Xperia X3), the video is a...

While the Acer A1, the first in the Android line of handsets from Acer with the Liquid interface, comes in shy on the on-board storage front at 512 MB, as Zealot pointed out, additional storage could be remedied via microSD expansion. Since apps from the Android Market install themselves onto the handset itself, I don’t know if a sizable microSD...

Acer has finally revealed their first Android phone, the A1, now called the Liquid, and boy does it look to be a doozy. Running on a SnapDragon platform by Qualcomm, the Liquid immediately leaps to the top tier of smartphones with a WVGA touchscreen and Android v1.6 (Donut).
The phone due for release by the end of the year includes a 5MP camera,...
