Have you even found a gadget or product that made you wonder how you had ever gotten by without it? Have you ever discovered something, totally unlooked for, that would have a profound effect on how you live and work from that moment on? I have had several…double-sided mounting tape for one, flavored mayonnaise as well, and canned iced coffee. However...

Wow. Talk about a change in the times. The Droid beat out the iPhone 3GS (I am sure this is based mainly on marketing hype since it’s not better than 2-3 of the phones on the list). Windows Mobile nabbed one spot, number 9. It’s not a device you’d expect either. It’s the Samsung Omnia II (Marilyn’s Review), yes the one that was recently...

After a week with the Samsung Omnia II, what follows is a detailed rundown of every function, issues, and realizations I ran into on a daily basis. While there are finger-friendly improvements in Windows Mobile, and exciting additions to everyday applications like Swype, there were times I felt there was a disconnect between Samsung and Microsoft regarding...

D-Pads… the Final Frontier…These are the stories of the directional pads, seeking out new life and new civilizations, once heroes in our hands, today – an extinct species.
D-Pads: a flat, usually thumb-operated directional control found on nearly all modern video game console game-pads and phones, with one button on each point....
I received the Barnes and Noble Nook. I will provide some video an opinions later, but for now, here are some photos I shot with the Samsung Omnia II. All I can say initially is… It’s smaller than I imagined.

This is the hot new Windows Mobile phone from Verizon, the Samsung Omnia II. The Droid isn’t all Verizon has to offer. They have the Storm II and now the Omnia II as well. The Omnia II can be purchased from Verizon for $199 w/ contract. The Omnia II has the Swype text entry that Marilyn told us about last week too. It’s packed with power:
Windows...

A little over a week ago, Verizon and Samsung made the “rumored” Samsung Omnia II official. Yesterday, I got word that I have one arriving today for our review. I reviewed the original Omnia last year and wasn’t overly impressed, but a lot has changed and this one looking pretty hot. I will have a video and some photos online for your viewing...

A little over a year ago Chris posted a piece about the Swype software, and yet here is Swype again attempting to change consumers’ perspectives on typing using software keyboards. Since my introduction to software keyboards came in the form of the near-microscopic keys in Windows Mobile 6.0, I was slow to adopt the prediction-correction-ridden virtual-boards....

Here’s a good surprise for your Monday morning, Verizon gets the Samsung Omnia II. The Samsung Omnia II is a Windows Mobile 6.5 touch screen phone and Verizon will have it on Dec. 2 for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate on a 2 year. The Omnia II features a full virtual QWERTY keyboard with Swype technology that allows customers to input text faster...

Few months ago I wrote a provocative post comparing between different smartphones OS.
After getting hammered (pretty nicely I would say) by a lot of Google fans out there (but not only), furious about their little baby not winning the kindergarten contest, and after almost a year has passed, in which many have changed, I’ve decided to try again…...
Twitter seems to be the source of a lot more leaks lately and there are a couple tweets that came in Friday that tell some stories, whether the companies wanted them to or not.
The 1st one is kind of cut and dry. Strait to the point…
The next one needs a little back story, but the tweet implies that Brighthand’s story is accurate. Why would a...

I find it very ironic that Motorola, in completely scorning Windows Mobile and embracing Android with their dying breath as a handset maker, is doing the same thing to Android that Microsoft allowed to happen to WinMo. Namely they are ruining any chance for developers to make a single app for the OS, forcing them to make apps on a device by device...

As I mentioned in a post a few minutes ago, AT&T dropped the HTC Pure a few minutes (or days) too early. Have no fear, I was preparing for tonight already and have some of my photos ready to roll. As I mentioned, I also have a couple videos to put online too. I will only put the unboxing/hardware tour up a little later and the software tour on...

Bye bye TouchFlo 3D, I will come back to you later.
This is not a review 1st of all, this is just my quick thoughts after using it for a couple days. We have a full review coming in the next couple days. If you are interested in buying Mobile Shell 3.5, it will set you back $29.95 and you can grab it in our software store (Free Trial included there...

In an article on MobilityMinded, Mark Briggeman talked about an interesting discussion took place a few days ago in the Windows Mobile Forums where a user of the first Samsung Omnia (SGH-i900) asked if it was possible to change the language of his phone.
When ever a user asks if they can change the language, I always reply that you cannot but little...

Oh no they didn’t!
Yes they did, Verizon Wireless had modified their version of the Samsung Omnia II, removing the cube and replacing it with that triangle shaped thing. Not to big, but I thought the cube looked cooler. It’s not like it’s a d-pad anyway. Its only the button to bring up the task manager.
For some, a deal-breaker. ...

Phone Arena takes a close look at the Samsung OmniaPro…
Samsung OmniaPRO B7330 is the manufacturer´s newest Windows Mobile family member. Unlike the Omnia II I8000 and OmniaPRO B7320, it will roll out with the latest OS version, so you won´t need to update it. The device is aimed at business and ordinary users, who need a capable cell phone that...
