Speaking of "Pro"… Contest Coming Soon. Twitter?

pantech-matrix-pro-ofc If you haven’t noticed, Jack has been hard at work keeping our readers informed with what sites are giving away the Pantech Matrix Pro as part of a large promotion that we are participating in. Our time is coming soon. On May 5th, Mobilitysite has our shot at giving away one of these too. To get you ready, I wanted to talk about Twitter some. This is most definitely a hint as to what medium our contest might entail. :)

To get prepared, make sure you have a twitter account and have Mobilitysite followed. Julie set up our twitter feed a while back and we’ve already sent out more than 3,000 updates. The Mobilitysite account is not an interactive account though. Nobody checks it live to follow our followers and there are no “personal” updates there. If you wish to follow our staff members, you can search for them on Twitter. I can’t speak for the other guys/gals, but I welcome you to follow me if you wish. Maybe other staff like Jack, Julie, Breley, etc can leave their links in the comments here.

Anyhow, click this search to find some posts related to Twitter here to find out what type clients you can grab for your phone. I personally use Twikini.

Good Luck!

Contest Winners - CES Bags

bags

Hey, I heard you missed us, were back !
I brought my pencil.
Gimme something to write on, man…

Wait a sec, wrong place. Those are the lyrics for Van Halen’s Hot for Teacher, not Chris’ return back to Mobilitysite. Some of you may or may not have noticed, but I have been absent since basically the day I posted this contest. No sad sob stories here, but we are down to 5 from 7 where I work and I’ve been working late and all that good stuff. That and the post-CES Flu that I seem to get after each CES. Anyhow, the reasons aren’t all that important, what is important is that I am back and I have goodies for 4 people this morning.

The winners of the 4 random bags (2 pictured) from CES are….

Michael Anderson, MetalManCPA, David Rowe, and SDevil. Congrats. I am going to shove these in the boxes and randomly slap one of the labels on each. It will be a surprise for you which one you’ve won. Well. Congrats. Shoot me an email to chris(at)mobilitysite.com with your shipping info guys.

Quick Contest - CES Bags

bags You might have wondered what in the heck that useless post called Bags, Bags, Bags earlier this morning was all about, right? Well. Unpacking from CES last night and getting set to store another set of badges and bags from the show, I realized I have too many bags. Some are premium quality, some are just decent, but I just have too many. Why do I keep them? Your guess is as good as mine. The only bag I use is the Logitech Kinetic 15.4 backpack.

Well, I am going to give away some of these bags. I realize this isn’t quite as nice as all the Birthday Contests we had last month, but I am sure someone could use these cool bags.

Just leave a comment for a chance to win 1 of 4 bags I am going to push out the door. The 2 bags from this years CES ( CES Press Bag and CNTRSTG Skooba Bag) pictured above are 2 of the 4 that I am giving away. Deadline to get comments in will be Jan. 15th at midnight CST.

Mobilitysite 6th Birthday Contest Status

I am back from CES 2009 and it’s time to make sure all the loose ends are tied up here. We still have some hold over prizes to announce, but I want to make sure all current winners are taken care of 1st. I am going to repost the list of winners along with the status. I need the winners to chime in and save me the time of going to USPS.com and entering in all these codes.

Happy New Years to Everyone and Contest Winners!!!

Happy New Years to everyone! Darren made a great post yesterday already, but today I am bringing the New Years in by sharing the winners of a lot of the contests we had going for our 6th Birthday. Before I share, I want to congratulate one of our readers, Katy. She got a one liner in a USA Today article yesterday about the Zune Issue.

“I’m just miserable without it,” says Katy Bertoldi, a 35-year-old accountant in Baltimore who has stored 3,500 songs and a couple hundred personal photos on her Zune. “It’s personal. I’m upset right now.”

On to the show… We have a bunch of prizes to dish out today. I am going through all the entries right now and had I not kept up with the replies for the last couple weeks, this would take all day. Read on to find out who won all the goodies…

In addition to a Fuze a day for 120 days, HTC is throwing down some serious cash prizes too. $25k to the Grand Prize Winner and 4 others will win a $15k American Express gift card. Impressive.

Birthday Contests - More Added and Updates

All these contests are kinda of exhausting, but it’s worth it to reward our readers. I am really having fun. Unfortunately, we lost a day this week with server issues. Anyhow, here is where we are with these contests.

I just added 3 more contests today:

  • 5 Cases from Cases.com
As many of you know, Cases.com has been a stellar supporter of the site for almost all 6 years. Their relationship is more than that of an advertiser, the owner of Cases.com is a dear friend of mine as well as the site. Did you know that they used to be Aximcases.com? Yep.
  • 3 Copies of OnCourse Navigator w/ 2GB MicroSD
Another long time supporter is buy GPS Now. Joe Kee and staff have given great support to our communities GPS needs and helped with questions too. BuyGPSnow.com is happy to give our readers a special gift on behalf of Mobilitysite for our birthday contests. You can win one of three copies of OnCourse Navigator. They also come with a 2GB MicroSD.
  • 3 Software Packages ($100/$75/$30) from SPB Software House
If you have read my past reviews, you would know that SPB Pocket Plus was my absolute favorite app for many years. Things have evolved, but SPB is still among my favorites.

Next week, we will conclude all these contests in the 1st couple days with 5-10 more contests…
