Yesterday’s Apple News - iTunes 8, iPod Nano, Touch

Why post yesterday’s news today?
Well, you might have been under a rock yesterday, or worse… You could have been in the airports all day yesterday like I was. Just for the record, a 1.5 hour flight with no air conditioning is not fun. Anyhow, it seems that Apple went ahead and came out with some new stuff yesterday and from what I have read today, not many people are really excited about the announcements.

New iPod Nano colors and Sizes
As you can see above, there are purdy colors huh? Yep. You can check out the full press release here. Looks like Apple went ahead and matched the Zune’s upgraded 16gb version before Microsoft could get it out of the gates. You can grab an 8GB model for $149 and a 16GB model for $199. In addition to new colors and sizes, the screen has been updated as well. The resolution is better and the size has one upped the Flash Zunes with a 2" screen.

Updated iPod Touch (gen 2)
Apple also brought the iPod Touch some new hardware. The new iPod touch will cost you $229 for the 8GB model, $299 for the 16GB and $399 for the 32 GB model.

Apple today introduced the second generation iPod touch featuring an amazingly thin contoured metal design, a gorgeous 3.5-inch widescreen glass display, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi wireless networking, integrated volume control buttons, a built-in speaker for casual listening, a built-in accelerometer and other advanced sensors, and Apple’s revolutionary Multi-Touch user interface.
